These two things often get confused, yet they serve completely different purposes.

Business website

A multi-page calling card for your entire business: who you are, what you do, your experience, and how to reach you. It's meant to represent your brand as a whole and work regardless of how a visitor finds it.

Landing page

Something entirely different – a single page built around one specific goal. Launching a product, running a webinar sign-up, or running a Google or Facebook ad campaign? A landing page focuses the visitor's attention on one action: sign up, buy, book – with no distracting menu, subpages, or extra links to pull them away.

The difference in practice

On a business website, visitors can explore freely, move between sections, and come back. On a well-built landing page, every section guides them step by step toward a single decision. That's why landing pages work so well alongside paid ads: paid traffic is expensive, so the page needs to make the most of every click.

Which one do you need?

If you run an ongoing business and want to represent the whole company – you need a business website. If you're planning a specific campaign, a product launch, or collecting sign-ups for an event – a dedicated landing page often delivers better results than trying to bolt that goal onto your existing homepage.
